這是《魯邦三世》畫系列的第部，1971-1972年上映。又稱魯邦三世之夾克系列》因為片中魯三世的正裝綠色外套）原計劃拍攝26話，最終完成23話。據(jù)說這是第一面向非青少觀眾的動畫品，因為其出現(xiàn)較多（對當(dāng)時的動作品而言）力，欺詐。藏在這些背的則是大量人捧腹的喜成分。本作于Monkey Punch(加藤一彥)的《魯邦三世》漫畫系，監(jiān)督大塚生，并有宮駿等多位后的動漫重量人物擔(dān)任制班底。本作定了整個魯動畫系列的調(diào)，后來的邦系列作品多次從本系中攫取素材魯邦從此進(jìn)熒屏，并一成為日本國級動畫經(jīng)典活躍至今。
